Hi, I'm Emma , I have just retired from the NHS after working in Mental Health services for 34 years. I have decided to work with my other passion, dogs. I have been around dogs all my life. My parents always had Jack Russels growing up. Our first family dog was a beautiful Doberman.
Throughout my NHS career I have been trusted to work in people's own homes.
Jed's Gentle Paws is named after our big boy Jed, who you can see lounging around in the photos.
Jed's Gentle Paws provides dog sitting within your own home which means your dog will be in a familiar environment and can continue with their regular routines. So less stress for you and them whilst you are away. Whether it's just a few hours or a few weeks, you can rest assured your furry friend will be treated as part of the family.
Your dog will never be left for longer than 5 hours in a 24 hour period and can enjoy all of their usual home comforts, including walks.
I am in based in Towcester but cover further afield.
I am trained in dog first aid and CPR, fully insured and DBS checked. Your dog's health and welfare are my priority.
Prices for up to 2 dogs:
Overnight sits - £50 per 24 hours. Booking fee £50.
Day rate - up to 6 hours £30. Booking fee £10.
Local pop ins - up to half an hour, £15. Booking fee £10
Have more than 2 dogs? No problem, just contact me for prices and more information.
Locations over 25 miles from our base in Towcester will be asked to cover fuel costs.

How does sitting work?
As the sitter, I will effectively be living in your house for the duration of the booking. This means your dog will have my undivided attention, they will not be left for any longer than 5 hours in a 24 hour period. (This could be a combination of 2 x 2.5 hours for example). It also means your house is occupied whilst you are away.
What do I need to provide for the sitter?
I will provide all of my own meals, bedding and towels. I just ask that you provide access to suitable sleeping, cooking and toilet/bathing facilities.
You will also be required to provide keys to your property, including any cupboards and gates that I will need access to (for example to access cleaning materials) for the duration of the booking.
How do I book?

I will be in touch to arrange a free, no obligation meet and greet.
Following the meet and greet, if we both agree we are a good fit, you will receive a booking form to complete.
Once your booking form has been checked and confirmed you will receive a booking fee invoice to secure your dates in the diary.
